I am a RYT 200 certified yoga instructor and aerial movement teacher in Michigan with a dream to hold space for others and to offer experiences that inspire self-love, sincere connection, and true self expression!
I have always been an artsy soul and aspiring creative but it wasn’t until I found yoga that I truly began to step into my own confidence. I walked into my first yoga class while completing my bachelors degree in Multimedia Video/Design at Grand Valley State University. What first began as simply a way to exercise and put some space between myself and the stresses of university life soon transformed into an unforeseen journey of self discovery.
I always joke that I went away to college with the expectation of jump-starting a corporate career in the digital arts and instead returned home, an assistant preschool teacher, lawn care servicer and avid home cut-flower gardener with a deep-rooted love for yoga. Quite the shift in what was once expected but the universe will do what it does!
Hello hummingbird hearts everywhere! I’m Lauren.
And then came the hummingbird.
In November of 2017, I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. Shortly thereafter, I found my roots and wings, receiving certification in both chair yoga and aerial yoga. It was within and throughout this journey that I developed a profound connection with the hummingbird. The hummingbird has the ability to dance the four winds powerful and free but without harm, with independence and complete trust in her own ability, sipping the nectar of the flowering NOW, savoring the beautiful!
I treasure and honor the gift of guiding my students into the NOW, a space of authentic love and connection. When we open ourselves to the sacred beauty of the present moment, we become aware of the divine beauty within ourselves: mind, body, soul, and everything in between.
